Jeff Lubin
"Rootsy, folky, rock music" with "deep, meaningful lyrics" are words which describe the 10 new songs from Jeff Lubin's debut CD -- THE MELANCHOLY TAVERN. With aid and guidance from some of the finest musicians and engineers that NYC has to offer, Jeff has recorded and produced over 100 original songs over the last several years in his own home-studio. He writes, both, lyrics and music and is an effective and willing collaborator as evidenced by the album's several co-writes. He is also proficient at drum-programming and doubles on mandolin. Jeff’s songs “The Man That I Am” and “Conversations” were recently featured on WBAB’s HOMEGROWN SERIES - 102.3FM in Long Island. He will also be appearing with his band The Hole In The Wall Gang in April throughout Long Island on SPOTLIGHT NY - Ch. 20 on Cablevision. Two of his songs have placed in the top 10 of the prestigious JOHN LENNON SONGWRITING CONTEST. Last year, "Conversations" placed 5th; the year prior, another song, "Paradise" -- which Jeff wrote for another NYC-based artist, Karen Lloyd -- placed 9th. Other than writing and recording, Jeff is proud to derive a living as a full-time guitarist and vocalist. He has opened for several national acts and has appeared on NBC'S ANOTHER WORLD.
